We went to a crawfish boil at Uncle Darrin's and Merrin used her new pool. We had a wonderful weekend and we hope you did too!

She is so cute, looks like she had fun! You asked if I had any advice for you trip. I would suggest taking several smallish toys so she can rotate them out every hour or so throughout the drive, if you have a portable DVD player(we don't) I would suggest taking it. Take 2 or 3 kinds of snacks, nothing that gets too sticky. We took mostly crackers and some trail mix for Kerry to nibble on (I'd only do this if you have a mirror that lets you see her easily) and juice boxes (but I poured the juice into her no spill sippy cup). Oh and keep wipes and napkins handy just in case. Maybe take a CD of kids songs. And definitely getting out every couple of hours at a rest stop or someplace to let her burn off steam, even if its just for ten minutes. Have fun and take lots of pictures!

Thanks so much Gin! We are leaving after lunch and I am going to keep her from napping until then so at least she will sleep for an hour but I am hoping more :) I am taking a portable DVD player but I can only take so much of the big purple dinosaur but I guess it's better then her crying!
