Merrin was baptized on Sunday and it was truly the most perfect day. She wore a beautiful gown that has been in Joey's family for about 70 years and she was the 19th child to wear it. The slip under the gown has everyone's name monogrammed on it and the date they were baptized. I was so happy that she fit in it and could wear the same gown that her Daddy wore when he was baptized. Merrin was pretty funny during the baptism swatting at Father Greg when he was trying to anoint her with the oil and swaying when we were up at the altar and everyone was singing it was really funny and so very cute. After the Christening we went to Joey's aunt and uncle house as they hosted a party for Merrin, it was wonderful and we all had a great time. Thank you so much Nannie Sandra and Uncle Ted! We are so blessed to have so many family and friends that love this little girl just as much as we do!
I love these pictures and the sweet story about the gown. BTW, we showed Bella these pics and she was laughing and smiling at Merrin the entire time. I think she misses her. :)
